Remote HD Lite is a basic/adfree multimedia remote for your Mac and PC.

Inspired by Apple hardware remote, this application will give you perfect control of dozens of multimedia applications (see below).

Remote HD Lite brings your computers desktop to your iOS device (iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch) to show you exactly whats happening on the computer while youre controlling it.

A unique power save mode allows Remote HD Lite to control your computers volume using the hardware volume button on the iPad / iPhone even when it is locked or sleeping.

Remote HD Lite also gives you the ability to switch/launch applications, control volume or even restart/shutdown your computer.

Note for PC users: Make sure you configure the Windows firewall and antivirus applications to allow incoming traffic to Remote Helper (Port 32700). Winamp requires multimedia keys to be enabled (Winamp Preferences > General Preferences > Global Hotkeys).

In-App upgrade to full version can be enabled on other devices by purchasing the In-App upgrade again. You will not be double billed and will get the upgrade for free as long as you use the same iTunes account.

Remote HD Lite works with both Mac and PC.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Slow trackpad performance on PC if auto-connect setting is turned on. This will be fixed in the next update. For now turn off auto-connect setting.

Upgrade popups will also be removed in the next update.

Pros and cons of Remote HD Lite app for iPhone and iPad

Remote HD Lite app good for

Nicely done app for remote controlling your mac ( dont know whether it works with windows/linux). It is particularly useful for general control, offering touch control of your macs screen (which is mirrored to the app), including pinch-zooming for fine-control, simulated touchpad and keyboard and direct access to the dock. If you need specific control of one particular application, you should look for a specialized app first. Starting applications directly is also offered, but doesnt seem to work anymore, though, please fix this. Nice-to-have: merge the media-control with the touchpad. That way you dont have to switch back and forth between them. At least the volume control should be included in the touchpad.

This app is so good I used the in-app upgrade. Which gave me the full features of the full version. The downside of that is that I still have the lite icon and the upgrade is only good on one device. So I dont have it on my touch just the iPhone. I wish that was made clear to me or I would have bought the full version(reason for the loss of one star). Otherwise this app Is really amazing! Dont pay 20 or 25 bucks for apps that do the same thing if at all.

This is a great little app and a lot better than any of the competition out there. Refresh time and functionality are second to none. Very easy to get set up and running. Great customer support.

It took all of 10 min. to purchase the full version. Things sure have came a long way!!!!!!! A+++++++{

Okay so this app works great but my only complaint is the icon. I have like an OCD for this and I cant stand the icon. Change it! Otherwise, this works great!

Like it sooooo much. This app does what I needed three apps to do b4. It takes only few seconds to get it up and working. After trying light version I upgraded to pro version and I couldn’t be happier!

Some bad moments

It can find the computers on my network, but yet cannot connect to them, even if my computers firewall is properly set. When trying to edit the connections to add a manual one, the application crashes. Really disappointed. Good thing I havent bought the full version first.

Downloaded app thinking it was the full version. No indication of LITE and still wants me to upgrade...shame on you.

Got it only to control Apple TV - read details carefully before buying only to find out after purchase its only supported by full version

The lite version doesnt do anything. You just get constant screens asking you to upgrade. I found Remote tap to be cheaper and do everything this is suppose to do. I didnt try the full ver of Remote Jr. So I can say if that works but why take the chance.

Just another app that doesnt work!!! If you like being frustrated this app is for you!!!!!!

Tried this version and liked it a lot so quickly upgraded and b/c I rushed into upgrading I made a huge mistake. Which is, the app doesnt specify that its for pc use only. I have a MacBook pro and purchased this app for that purpose and yes it does work but in order for it to connect 2 my notebook, it cant b asleep, which kind of defeats the purpose. Too bad I noticed this after I upgraded! Furthermore, since I didnt download remote hd(full version) directly,instead i used the upgrade option, I cant review it b/c it doesnt recognize that I have it
